Your compassionate hearts have responded to support Hala Ayad, a Palestinian mother from Gaza who lost her husband in the recent war and is now left alone to raise five children—two boys and three girls—amid widespread devastation and a severe lack of basic necessities.

Hala’s children:

Rahaf / 14 years old

Jana / 13 years old

Ahmed / 12 years old

Mohammed / 10 years old

Layan / 8 years old

Since her husband’s death, Hala and her children have been living in unbearable conditions: without stability, without safe shelter, and with no clear path forward.

The children, once full of potential, are now suffering from psychological trauma and hunger, while their mother is doing the impossible just to provide them with the bare essentials—food, medicine, and a little warmth.

We are not raising money for luxury, but for survival—so that these children can still feel that there are people who care about them, who share their pain, and who want to give them hope for a dignified life, even in the midst of this nightmare.

Your donation today could be the difference between despair and dignity, between cold and warmth, between brokenness and hope.

Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference. Be that difference!

After spending a long and painful period living on the streets, without any protection from the elements or the many dangers around them, Hala and her five children have finally found some shelter: a tent.

It’s a small step forward, but the challenges they face are still overwhelming.

Hala is going through a time of deep sorrow. On top of their already dire living conditions, she has recently endured a heartbreaking tragedy: the sudden and painful loss of her brother. May his soul rest in peace.

The weeks spent on the streets have taken a severe toll on their already weary bodies. A lack of food has led to serious malnutrition, especially for the children. They often went without meals, surviving on just a few biscuits, and the physical and emotional consequences are clear.

Now more than ever, Hala and her little ones need our help. They need solidarity, care, nourishment, and a tangible sign of hope.

Your support can make a real difference.

Let’s not leave them alone.

Last week, we managed to send another portion of the funds we raised, allowing them to buy some food.

Once again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous support.

Unfortunately, the situation has drastically worsened over the past 48 hours.

The occupying forces have ordered yet another forced evacuation.

Hala and her five children were forced to flee under bombardment and attacks, desperately trying to reach a slightly safer area.

In the chaos, they had to leave almost everything behind, including their makeshift tent and most of their belongings.

They are now still in a red zone, with no shelter, no food, and no resources.

Last night, they slept on the streets, exposed to the cold and even at risk of being attacked by stray dogs.

After days of waiting and hardship, Hala was finally able to get some flour today and bake bread for her children. A simple act, yet one filled with profound hope.

All of this has been made possible thanks to your ongoing support, your tangible solidarity, and the care you continue to show.

I urge you to stand by Hala now more than ever: let’s amplify her voice as much as we can, especially now, as much of the Gaza Strip is plunged into an internet blackout that makes it even harder to share their daily reality.
